35 - Unboxable: Building a Career That Can’t Be Labeled — a conversation with Lindsey Lerner

Lindsey is a documentarian of the work most people miss. She catches the hum before the curtain lifts, the unglamorous rituals, the strengths that rarely get named out loud.

Through Field Notes from the Work (and the Wild), she blends photography, audio, and story to reveal people in their element—too deep in what they love to be performing for anyone else.

Her path has always bent toward the unseen: founding a music hub that produced 50+ videos and hosted over 1,000 events, tour managing indie acts all the way up to Vans Warped Tour, helping startups raise millions and scale community campaigns, and leading cultural strategy projects from city halls to stadiums.

The throughline is simple—shine a light on what usually stays in the background, so people feel fully seen and able to step into spaces they never thought they belonged in.
